Leadership

The Board of Directors of the Edgewater Community Council is the governing body of the organization, responsible for setting ECC's policy and direction.  The Board consists of 23 Directors elected by the ECC membership. Any ECC member in good standing who is at least 18 years of age may stand for election to the Board. Directors hold office for three years, with terms staggered so that that one-third of the seats are up for election every year.

Meetings of the Board of Directors generally take place on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at the Edgewater Historical Society Museum at 5358 N. Ashland. Board meetings are open to the public.

The Executive Committee is chaired by the President and is empowered to take action on behalf of the Board in between regular Board meetings. It consists of the officers of the organization, all standing committee chairs, and any other Directors chosen by the Board or the President.
